31 мая в гостиничном номере на ул. Икшкилес ( около трикотажного комбината) была найдена мертвой  молодая женщина 1984 г.р.), которая покончила с собой, перерезав вены.  Как пояснила представитель полиции И. Мейкшане,  жительница Огре последние годы жила в Англии и в Латвию приехала на свадьбу родственницы.   Факты свидетельствуют о том, что женщина готовилась к тому, чтобы свести счеты с жизнью, накануне она сняла  номер,  лаком для ногтей она написала предсмертную записку.  Всех близких самоубийство женщины шокировало, ведь ничего не свидетельствовало о том, что она может так поступить.  Тем более, что у нее в Англии остались трое детей, самому младшему только 8 месяцев.  Теперь все заботы о малышах придется взвалить на себя родственникам.
